How much does baby circumcision cost in Sydney?
There is not one circumcision price that applies to every newborn, baby or infant. Our standard clinic fees are organised by age, so the current fee for a younger baby can differ from the fee confirmed after assessment for an older infant.
Babies up to 6 months of age can generally follow our standard booking pathway. For babies over 6 months, an assessment with Dr Omar is required first.
We do not publish a single online procedure price, because the fee depends on your baby's age and the pathway that applies. If you share your baby's age or date of birth, we can confirm the current circumcision fee, the booking pathway and any next steps.
What affects the cost of circumcision?

Your baby's age
Age is the main factor in Precision's standard circumcision fee structure, including for babies aged 6–12 months. Newborn and younger infant appointments usually follow the standard age-based clinic fee. We confirm the current amount when you enquire or book, based on your baby's age at the time of the appointment.
Whether an assessment is required first
Babies up to 6 months of age can generally follow our standard booking pathway.
For babies over 6 months, an assessment with Dr Omar is required first to consider your baby's age, size, anatomy and individual circumstances, and determine whether circumcision can be safely performed in our clinic.
Following the assessment, Dr Omar will advise whether the procedure can proceed in clinic, whether it would be better to wait until a more suitable time, or whether a hospital-based circumcision may be required.
For babies aged 6–12 months, procedure fees vary based on age. The applicable fee and next steps will be discussed immediately following the assessment.
Circumcision method
Parents sometimes ask whether Plastibell circumcision costs more than Mogen, or whether a traditional circumcision fee differs from a ring method.
Does Mogen cost more than Plastibell? No. At Precision Circumcision Clinic, Mogen and Plastibell follow the same age-based fee structure.
The most suitable method is discussed with parents and is based on both your baby's clinical suitability and parental preference. Where both methods are appropriate, parents can choose their preferred method after discussing the options with Dr Omar.
What is included in the circumcision fee?
When comparing circumcision clinic fees, it is important to understand what is included in your baby's care. At Precision Circumcision Clinic, the circumcision fee includes:
Your baby's care does not end when the procedure is complete. The fee includes care and support before, during and after the circumcision.
Direct doctor support is available through WhatsApp throughout the 14-day aftercare period following the procedure. If you have any questions or concerns after this time, you are always welcome to contact the clinic and Dr Omar will respond where appropriate. For concerns about bleeding, infection or your child's wellbeing, please follow the emergency guidance on our aftercare page and seek urgent medical care where required.
Is a deposit required to book?
Yes. Online circumcision bookings require a $50 deposit, which is processed securely through Tyro and credited toward the cost of the procedure when the appointment is attended.
The remaining clinic fee is paid on the day of the procedure.

How are babies over 6 months priced?
For babies over 6 months, an assessment with Dr Omar is required before a circumcision can be arranged. This helps determine whether the procedure is suitable to be performed safely in our clinic and the appropriate next steps.
For babies aged 6–12 months, procedure fees vary based on age. The applicable fee will be discussed immediately following the assessment.
For patients with Medicare, the consultation is bulk billed. If your baby is not covered by Medicare, a consultation fee applies. Private health insurance may contribute depending on your insurer and level of cover.
Does Medicare cover circumcision?
Medicare rebates may apply to eligible circumcision procedures.
If your baby is Medicare eligible and their Medicare enrolment is active on the day of the procedure, we can process the Medicare claim at the clinic. You will then only need to pay the remaining applicable clinic fee.
If your baby is Medicare eligible but their Medicare enrolment is not yet complete, the full procedure amount is payable on the day. We will provide an itemised invoice containing the applicable Medicare item numbers so you can claim any eligible Medicare benefit once your baby's enrolment is complete.

What about private health insurance?
If your baby has private health insurance, you may be able to claim part of the procedure cost depending on your insurer, level of cover and the circumstances of the procedure.
If you would like to check your cover before the procedure, we can provide an itemised list of the applicable procedure and Medicare item numbers so you can confirm eligibility directly with your insurer.
Depending on your health fund and claiming arrangements, our team may be able to assist with the claim at the clinic. In other cases, we will provide an itemised invoice for you to submit directly to your insurer.
Private health insurance benefits vary between policies and insurers, and coverage cannot be guaranteed by the clinic.
When is payment made?
Payment is made on the day of the procedure. If you booked online, your $50 deposit is credited towards the procedure fee.
If your baby is Medicare eligible and their Medicare enrolment is active on the day, we can process the Medicare claim at the clinic and you will pay the remaining applicable clinic fee.
If your baby is Medicare eligible but their enrolment is not yet complete, the full procedure amount is payable on the day. We will provide an itemised invoice so you can claim any eligible Medicare benefit once enrolment is complete.
